It should be to the point and clear, but write it out in full before adding your arguments to your outline. This will show you exactly what you need to focus on. Include more details and extra points underneath your wider arguments. If you have a lot of references, you may find it easier to record them on our outline now.
Once your outline is organized and consists of all the information you feel you will needs, it's time to commence forming sentences. Do not start with your introduction; start with your thesis paragraph. This needs to be presented as a sturdy statement, whereas the introductory paragraph is milder. After your thesis, work on the rest of the content paragraphs. Finish by adding in the intro and concluding paragraphs. It is easier to summarize what will be presented after you have actually done this.
Try not to throw in additional phrases and words, including words that sound impressive but aren't frequently used within your subject matter. What is important in an composition is the simplest transmission of clear thoughts, not fancy words. Your teacher will be more concerned that you understand the subject matter you and look for clarity.
Essays aren't typically how-to guides and you should avoid using second person speech. By steering clear of second person, you should be able to avoid passive language. However, take the time to make sure each sentence in your essay has a powerful verb that refers directly to a subject. You can use passive voice if you need to highlight the action while dismissing the person doing it, but be aware of it as many professors usually do not approve.
Take any words out that create tricky terminology and wording. That is one of the most generally abused words. It also ensures that a complex phrase is involved. Where possible, usually do not conclude sentences with prepositions and do not begin them with the words: it is. For example: His height attracts people, is a better way of saying: It is his height that people are attracted to. These modest changes will make your whole text easier to understand.
Scan your report for apostrophes. If there are any, they should indicate possession or be used in proper nouns only. Formal writing does not allow contractions.
Check for adverbs and adjectives. While you can't discount using these words in the English language, however each combination should be checked. When there is a verb that can absorb the adverb, this is desired because it is more illustrative and less wordy. For example: he ran swiftly, could be changed to: he sprinted.
Even if it is a challenging task for you, these essay writing ideas should ensure better results. Just keep at it and will become simpler over time. And you will also receive better grades because of this.
